Support Staff Part-time Casual Position
Prior to participating in Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) experiences, students must complete a set of program-specific health and safety requirements. The WIL Nurse is responsible for coordinating and providing accessible respirator fit testing and Tuberculosis (TB) testing clinics to students requiring these services to participate in WIL experiences. The successful candidate reviews student information in HSTrax and testing consent forms to determine student eligibility for respirator fit testing and TB testing, conducts the testing, and communicates testing requirements to students (in person at clinics) when they do not meet testing eligibility requirements.
This position will work on-site at the Doon campus, located at 299 Doon Valley Dr, Kitchener. The WIL Nurse will be employed on a casual part-time basis for five weeks starting in January. Hours will be four in week one, two in week two, and 24 per week for the rest of the contract between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The role supports programs and students, mainly focusing on supporting TB testing.
